What these cases have in common

None of the problems below was caused by DIA. Each came from a detail in the overseas office's rules or timing: how recent a certificate must be, what replaces a marriage certificate, how long a police certificate takes. Each was cheaper to catch at the start than to fix later.

Birth certificate · Visa

A birth certificate was too old for a visa

The certificate was 8 months old; the visa needed under 6. Caught before the apostille, so the application started right.
