Does My Document Need to Be Signed in Front of the Notary?

If the notary needs to witness your signature, you should generally avoid signing the document beforehand unless the notary has told you otherwise.

What Should I Take to a Notary Appointment?
The exact requirements depend on the notarial act, but formal identification is commonly required.

- the original document being notarised

- instructions from the overseas receiving organisation

Does a Notarised Document Also Need an Apostille?

Notarisation and apostille are two different stages.

What If the Country Requires Authentication Instead?
For some destination countries, authentication or legalisation is required instead of an apostille.
